Lindell TV reporter Allison Steinberg was shouted at by House Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Wednesday after asking a simple question.
“Shut up!” Pelosi screamed as she repeatedly poked her finger in Steinberg’s face.
Steinberg had asked the congresswoman if she’s concerned the new January 6th Committee will find her liable for refusing the National Guard requested by President Trump on that infamous day.
“Why did you refuse the National Guard on January 6th?” the journalist asked, with Pelosi yelling, “Shut up! I did not refuse the National Guard, the president didn’t send it. Why are you coming here with Republican talking points as if you’re a serious journalist?”
“The American people want to know, we still have questions,” Steinberg retorted.
The topic clearly got under Pelosi’s skin, indicating she knows there is a possibility she will be held accountable for the standdown.
During Donald Trump’s second inauguration speech in January, the newly-reelected president told a crowd of supporters the sham Jan 6th Committee “destroyed and deleted all of the information on Nancy Pelosi turning down 10,000 soldiers.”
He also noted Pelosi’s own daughter filmed the moment the former House Speaker admitted to denying the 10,000 soldier request made by Trump.
“We offered her 10,000 soldiers,” Trump explained. “In other words J6 wouldn’t be J6, there would be no J6. But she rebuffed them. She didn’t like it. Maybe she wanted that to happen, but she’s guilty as hell. And now, we will have to go through the process because they destroyed all evidence, they deleted everything.”
The footage filmed by Pelosi’s daughter on January 6th shows the former Speaker of the House venting frustration about the National Guard not being prepared and admitting she was responsible.
“Why weren’t the National Guard there to begin with?” Pelosi asked, adding, “I take responsibility for not having them just prepare for more.”
Transcripts released by the House Administration’s Subcommittee on Oversight last year revealed that days before January 6, 2021, “President Trump met with senior Pentagon leaders urging them to do their jobs to protect lives and property. The transcripts released show Trump gave senior Pentagon leadership directives to keep January 6 peaceful – including using the National Guard – which the Pentagon leaders ignored.”
The committee’s chairman, Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.), said in a statement after the documents were released, “Pentagon leadership prioritized concerns of optics over their duty to protect lives. President Trump met with senior Pentagon leaders and directed them to make sure any events on January 6, 2021 were safe. It is very concerning that these Senior Pentagon officials ignored President Trump’s guidance AND misled Congressional Leaders to believe they were doing their job, when they were not. The DoD IG’s report is fundamentally flawed. It does not draw conclusions from the interviews they conducted, but pushes a narrative to keep their hands clean. We have many questions for them, and we will continue to dig until we are satisfied the American people know the truth.”
After the fraudulent Jan. 6 Committee was weaponized against Republicans and pro-Trump demonstrators, Americans deserve answers and action from the new House panel re-investigating the Jan. 6 incident.
